We are delighted to launch and open the auditions for Cambridge Operatic Society’s production of My Fair Lady.

Auditions will be on 8th and 9th September with recalls on 11th September.

To support our auditions here are the supplementary music numbers for the following parts

Women

Eliza Doolittle:
We would like you to prepare 2 vocal items:
‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ and ‘Just You Wait’.

If you would like to be considered for any other role in this production please could you decide if you are more of a soprano (higher range) or alto (slightly lower range) and prepare the following:

Sopranos: ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ (bar 1 – 45)
Altos: ‘Wouldn’t It Be Loverly’ (bar 20-57)

Men

Henry Higgins, please prepare: ‘I’ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face’ (bar 16 – bar 96)
Colonel Pickering, please prepare: ‘You Did it’ (bar 42 – 92)
Freddy, please prepare: ‘On The Street Where You Live’ (bar 26 – bar 124)
Alfred Doolittle, please prepare: ‘With A Little Bit of Luck’ (bar 1 (no repeat so straight to 2nd time bar – 73)

If you would like to be considered for any other role or simply aren’t sure which role to go for, please think about whether you are a tenor (higher male voice) or baritone/bass (lower male voice) and prepare the following:

Tenors: ‘On The Street Where You Live’ (bar 26 – bar 124)
Baritones: ‘I’m Getting Married in the Morning’ (bar 12 – bar 136)
